That is to say, the steel shot and steel grit material must have a strong ability to resist impact loads (the ability of steel shot and steel grit to resist the impact load without damage is called steel shot and steel grit impact toughness). So what effect do steel shot and steel grit have on shot blasting strength?

Hardness of steel shot and steel grit: When the hardness of steel shot and steel grit is higher than the hardness of the part, the change of its hardness value does not affect the shot blasting strength; when the steel shot and steel grit is softer than the part, if the shot blasting hardness value decreases, the shot blasting strength also decreases

　　2. Shot blasting rate: When the shot blasting rate increases, the shot blasting strength also increases, but when the rate is too high, the damage of steel shot and steel grit increases. 3. Coarseness of steel shot and steel grit: The larger the steel shot and steel grit, the greater the impact kinetic energy and the greater the shot blasting strength, but the consumption rate of steel shot and steel grit decreases. Therefore, while ensuring the strength of shot blasting, the smallest steel shot and steel grit should be used. In addition, the shot blasting size is also limited by the shape of the parts. When there are grooves on the parts, the diameter of the steel shot and steel grit should be less than half of the inner radius of the groove. The shot blasting particle size is usually selected between 6 and 50 meshes.
