The raw material of steel sand is scrap steel of high carbon steel or alloy steel. A process for preparing steel sand directly from scrap steel. It includes the following steps: (1) placing scrap steel of high carbon steel or/and alloy steel in a quenching device for heating and quenching treatment; (2) placing the scrap steel after heating and quenching in a crusher for crushing to obtain semi-finished steel sand; (3) screening and classifying the semi-finished steel sand to obtain finished steel sand. The steel sand production method of the present invention reduces the scrap steel smelting and shot making steps that must be cast into steel shots in the traditional steel sand production process, greatly saving production costs.
There is also a steel sand production method, which is characterized by including the following steps:
(1) placing scrap steel of high carbon steel or/and alloy steel in a quenching device for heating and quenching treatment;
(2) placing the scrap steel after heating and quenching in a crusher for crushing to obtain semi-finished steel sand;
(3) screening and classifying the semi-finished steel sand to obtain finished steel sand.
