Cast steel shot is made of steel shavings, which has its unique function. First, the scrap steel is dissolved, and then the molten steel is turned into small balls with high-pressure water jet, which is convenient for us to use. The formed shot body is heated again to purify Homogenized, then treated with fire to remove some impurities and other objects.

After doing this, we will pay attention to fire drying the body of the pellets and then heating and heat-treating in the furnace to achieve proper hardness, or the baked steel grit cannot be used, and the desired effect cannot be achieved, and the process of tempering the steel pellets through the mechanical screen is sorted SAE standard 11th grade pill cleaning equipment, driven out by the owner of the equipment, the scale mastered, different processes for products with different particle sizes and hardness.

The shape of the cast steel shot is regular, nearly spherical and smooth. Cast steel grit is an irregularly shaped sand-like substance with uneven surfaces and edges that can be broken by cast steel shot.

The castings should be cleaned to match the cast steel shot with the cast steel grit, so that the cast steel grit can be poured to the corners, and the cast steel shot can be poured to other parts. This also avoids unevenness of the casting surface.

The selection of cast steel shot should have appropriate hardness and size. The proper combination of cast steel shot and cast steel grit can reach every position in the clean room, reducing the processing time. If the surface roughness of the material to be cleaned is high, the hardness of cast steel shot and cast steel grit is directly proportional to the cleaning speed and inversely proportional to the service life. The higher the roughness, the greater the consumption of cast steel shot or cast steel grit.

The chemical composition is the basic index of cast steel shot and cast steel grit, which will determine the microstructure of cast steel shot and cast steel grit and the effect of subsequent heat treatment. Carbon (C) content should be moderate. Silicon (Si) and manganese (Mn) can improve the strength and hardness of cast steel shot, and should be as high as possible (not less than 0.8%). Sulfur (S) and phosphorus (P) are harmful elements that tend to make cast steel shots brittle and cause premature cracking. It should be as low as possible.

If the cast steel shot or sand is too soft, it will slow down the cleaning speed and reduce the working efficiency. During the shot blasting process, the cast steel shot that is too soft will not produce appropriate residual stress, and the force of the cast steel shot with low hardness cannot be compensated by increasing the impact time. If the hardness is too high, it will produce poor surface morphology and increase the possibility of cracking, so the consumption is too high, and the sandblasting machine will wear more, which will increase the cost of equipment maintenance, so the appropriate hardness is also very important.
