Products such as gold steel pills are not as simple as one product on the market. Products produced according to different standards can be divided into the following four categories. The specific situation is as follows:

  1. Non-national standard category

Non-national standard steel shot refers to the general term for steel shots whose various indicators do not meet the national standard level.

  2. National standard alloy steel shot

The national standard alloy steel shot refers to the steel shot that has been quenched once. The hardness of the steel shot is HRC40~50. Among them, carbon C: 0.85%-1.20%, silicon Si: 0.40%-1.20%, Mn: 0.60%-1.20% (S170: 0.50%-1.20% S110, S70: 0.35%-1.20%) sulfur S≤0.05%, Phosphorus P≤0.05. This type of steel shot has a wide range of applications and is widely used in cleaning, strengthening, counterweighting, etc. in various industries.

  3. SQ steel shot

SQ steel shot is actually the super-performance national standard steel shot, and its technical indicators are the same as the national standard steel shot. This type of steel shot undergoes secondary quenching to make the metallographic structure more dense, bridge micro-cracks on the surface, and refine the grains. Its service life is 1.3 times that of ordinary national standard steel shot.

  4. Low shell steel shot

Low bainite steel shot is the abbreviation of low carbon bainitic steel shot. The hardness of this type of alloy steel shot is HRC42-48/48-54. Among them, carbon C: 0.10%-0.20%, silicon Si: 0.10%-0.30%, manganese Mn: 0.35%-1.5%, sulfur S≤0.05%, phosphorus P≤0.05%, and add Cr, Mo, Ni, B, Alloying elements such as Al and Cu have a lifespan twice that of ordinary national standard alloy steel shots.

Appropriate hardness If the steel shot or steel sand is too soft, it will slow down the cleaning speed and reduce the work efficiency. During shot peening, steel shots that are too soft cannot produce suitable residual stress, and the force of low-hardness shots cannot be compensated by increasing the impact time.
