Shot peening is a process in which abrasives are used to forcefully impact parts to clean or modify their surfaces.
Its main uses are:
(1) Remove the oxide scale on the surface of castings and forgings after heat treatment.
(2) Remove rusty carbon deposits, welding slag, old paint layers or other dried oil substances on the surface of parts.
(3) Improve the roughness of the surface of the part to improve the adhesion of painting or other coatings.
(4) Remove burrs or directional wear marks on parts
(5) Spray flowers on glass or ceramics.
(6) Make the parts appear diffusely matte.
(7) Wet sandblast the cutting tools to increase their service life.
