  1. The shape of the steel shot is spherical, with few physical defects, no defects in the internal structure and more impact resistance. The cut steel shot is made of raw or cooked wire and is cylindrical. The shape of the cut steel shot is irregular and the length is irregular. Not uniform, the cuts are not neat.

  2. The roundness of the steel shot is good. After the spherical impact, the force point on the workpiece is regular, the force is even, and the hardness is moderate, so the rebound is better. The shape of steel wire cut pills is irregular, the focus point is also irregular, and the force is uneven, so the rebound properties are not good. Due to the spherical shape of the steel shot, the wear is gradual. During use, a good mixture of large and small particles will be formed. The coverage of the steel shot is good, and the efficiency of shot blasting is higher. Steel wire cut shot is irregular in shape, has little wear in the early stage, and will burst into powder in the later stage. It cannot form a suitable mixing ratio of large and small particles. Therefore, the coverage rate of shot blasting is low, and the cleaning efficiency is not as high as that of steel shot. Practice has proven that the cleaning efficiency of steel shot is 20% higher than that of cut steel shot.

  3. The fluidity of steel wire shot cutting in the cleaning equipment is poor, and the stress on the blasting head and other parts of the shot blasting machine is uneven, causing increased wear and tear on the equipment. When steel shot is used as abrasive, the life of the wear-resistant parts of the equipment is more than four times that of steel wire shot-cutting. In this way, the maintenance cost of the shot blasting equipment is reduced and the service life of the whole machine is longer.

  4. The surface of the workpiece cleaned with steel shot is delicate and bright, and the surface quality is good, which improves the grade of the workpiece. Due to the irregular shape and edges of the steel wire shot, the intensity at which the shot is thrown at the workpiece is different at each angle, resulting in a rough and dull surface of the workpiece.
