The sandblasting process is widely used in metal surface treatment and is a metal surface mechanical treatment technology. The sandblasting process mainly uses compressed air to spray metal sandblasting materials such as ceramic sand and iron sand onto the metal surface for treatment, and then uses high-speed jet abrasives to remove rust spots, oxide layers and other contaminants on the surface of the workpiece.

  Sandblasting rust removal method:

  1. Remove debris existing on the surface of mechanical equipment and all items placed on the surface to prevent high air pressure from blowing off debris and harming personnel and equipment.

  2. Rust removal by sandblasting process can completely remove all rust marks on the surface, including corroded equipment pipes and surfaces between steel frames and gratings that cannot be removed manually. Dead corners and corners that cannot be cleared by angle grinders can completely meet all construction requirements.

  3. After rust removal by sandblasting process, the sand and gravel should be cleaned in time to ensure that there is no sand and gravel and other debris on site, and then anti-rust treatment should be carried out.

  4. The anti-rust paint must be sprayed evenly, with no leaks, no dead corners, no paint flow and other reasonable requirements.

  5. After the anti-rust paint is accepted, the first topcoat painting should be carried out. During the painting period, it should be ensured that there should be no debris on the surface under any conditions, which would affect the quality, and the painting should be even and without leakage marks.

  6. After the first topcoat is applied, make sure the paint is dry before applying the second topcoat. It can ensure no quality problems under any conditions. Meet any requirements of Party A and then conduct final acceptance.

  7. After the acceptance inspection, Party A must cooperate to sign the completion acceptance form.

  8. It is recommended to apply anti-rust paint twice as much as possible, so as to ensure the anti-rust effect and completely meet all national standards and requirements.

  9. Under normal circumstances, the shelf life is three to five years without rust marks or paint peeling.

How to judge the quality of steel shot How to judge the quality of steel shot

Appropriate hardness If the steel shot or steel sand is too soft, it will slow down the cleaning speed and reduce the work efficiency. During shot peening, steel shots that are too soft cannot produce suitable residual stress, and the force of low-hardness shots cannot be compensated by increasing the impact time.

The hardness of conventional steel shot is generally HRC40-50 (if the customer has no special requirements, this hardness range can fully meet the requirements)

Steel shot is made of high-quality steel scraps, which are first melted and then sprayed with high-pressure water to form the molten steel into small balls. The resulting shot is heated again to purify and homogenize it, and then quenched.
